BERRY COMPANIES, INC.
Berry Companies is an administrative group, which provides accounting, data processing, payroll, insurance, advertising, and financial services to each of its seven operating divisions. Each operating division is operated and managed independently. With the exception of SB Manufacturing, each is engaged in the distribution of construction or material handling equipment, which is purchased from manufacturers and sold or rented to contractors, governments, and industries.

Berry Companies, Inc. is headquartered in Wichita, KS in the White Star building. Employment in January 2006 was 26. Fred Berry is Chairman. Walter Berry is President. Judy Worrell is Vice President/Treasurer. John Engels is Vice President of Bobcat operations. Dan Sheer is Vice President of Non-Bobcat Operations. Rod Opliger is Controller and Wayne Becker is IT Director. Meagan Stone is Director of Marketing. A description of each division follows:


BERRY TRACTOR & EQUIPMENT COMPANY
Acquired by the Berry family in 1957, this division specializes in motor graders, crawler tractors, loaders, excavators, cranes, rollers, asphalt/aggregate and other related heavy construction equipment. Headquartered in Wichita, KS, this division has three branches in Topeka, Garden City and Springfield, MO. Division employment in January 2006 was 74. Dan Scheer is President and Jim Whitworth is Vice-President/General Manager.


WHITE STAR MACHINERY & SUPPLY COMPANY
Acquired in 1962, this division specializes in skid steer loaders, hydraulic excavators, construction supplies, a wide variety of concrete equipment and a large assortment of woodworking supplies and small tools. Headquartered in Wichita, KS, this division has branches in Topeka, Tulsa, OK, and shares a facility with Berry Tractor in Garden City. Division employment in January 2006 was 77. Glenn Engels is Division Manager.


BOBCAT OF THE ROCKIES
Formed in 1965, this division specializes in skid steer loaders, excavators, light construction equipment, supplies, and concrete tools. They also provide customer support for cranes, excavators, and loaders sold under former operating divisions. Empire Construction Equipment and White Star Colorado. This division is headquartered in Golden, CO with branches in Commerce City, Parker, Greeley, and Grand Junction. Employment in January 2006 was 106. Alan Coffman is President.


BERRY MATERIAL HANDLING
Formed in 1975, this Division specializes in lift trucks and other related material handling equipment. Headquartered in Wichita, KS, this Division has a branch in Topeka and shares a facility with Berry Tractor in Garden City. Division employment in January 2006 was 56. Joe Wilson is President.


BOBCAT OF HOUSTON
Acquired in 1999, this division specializes in skid steer loaders, excavators, light construction equipment, supplies, and concrete tools. Headquartered in Jersey Village, a Houston, TX suburb, this division has a branch in south Houston on Beltway 8. Division employment in January 2006 was 47. Jonathan Tarpey is General Manager and John Engels is President.


K.C. BOBCAT, INC.
K.C. Bobcat was founded in 1974. In 2000 Berry Companies purchased the stock for this wholly owned subsidiary from the two original partners. This company specializes in skid steer loaders and excavators and sells light construction equipment and supplies. Headquartered in Blue Springs, MO, this division has branches in Grandview, Platte City, and Olathe, KS. Employment in January 2006 was 78. Steve Meadows is General Manager and Walter Berry is President.


SB MANUFACTURING
Founded in 2002, SB Manufacturing manufacturers and assembles self-propelled road construction brooms that are distributed through exclusive dealerships across the United States. Employment in January 2006 was 16. Tom McBride is Vice-President.
